We are an independent shop dedicated to providing inclusive custom hair services and the opportunity to explore a variety of art mediums including our current in house artists Obsidian Rabbit Tattoo and Braided by Fatima.

We also feature our own sustainable hair and self-care product line ROOTS by Reese, other earth conscious hair brands and locally made art and wares.

Our goal is to provide an inspiring space for you to receive elevated yet comfortable services and experience connection with our community through various talents.

All are welcome in our humble space as we continue to learn and share about our local community.

A NOTE FROM MARESAH:

Hi There!

I’m Maresah, a cosmetologist, hair and self-care product maker and owner and curator of The Shop!

I was born and raised here in the Vancouver/Portland area and as much as I love to explore other places I always find myself back in our beautiful PNW. I have always loved the creative path of expression through all kinds of mediums and I am so grateful to now have a space to explore that creative desire and share it with others.

I have had the privilege of gaining my experience in the cosmetology industry through many platforms over the last 15yrs which has led me to now specialize in inclusive customized services for everyday wear and special events. I love to bring new techniques as well as traditional practices to my work and it brings me such joy to help others express themselves through their hair and personal style.

I had the privilege of opening The Shop in May of 2018 with a dream of having a space to not only offer my services, but create products, art and share that with others and I have been floored by the process. The Shop has truly become a haven of expression and connection not only for myself, but for our current and future clients and patrons!
